  • January 30: Exploring Prayer Practices with Children
Ideas for teaching about prayer and different ways to pray. How is prayer a practice to support children’s spirituality, and how might we as adults learn from sharing prayer with children?
  • February 25: Nurturing the Nurturers: Stories & Spirituality for Families
Parents and primary caregivers are children’s first “teachers” and spiritual guides — What support and nurture can we offer them? We’ll discuss practices for home and explore the importance of stories at home.

  • March 12: Easter Stories & Resources for Friends

How do stories help Quakers to approach the story and celebration of Easter? We’ll discuss adaptations of Godly Play stories for Friends, “An Easter Story for Friends,” and recent picture books that may speak to Friends’ condition.

  • April 30: Doorperson Workshop: “Are you ready?”
The doorperson is not an “assistant teacher,” but rather holds care “for the whole room” in a role more like elder. This workshop will prepare Friends to support their children’s program in the doorperson role, from greeting to response time.
